Walked into a barbershop in Nashville that had a pet parrot

I was checking out a new spot called The Faded Edge last weekend and they have a huge green parrot named Gus in a cage by the waiting chairs. The crazy part is, Gus knows the sound of clippers turning on and starts whistling the Andy Griffith theme song every single time. It was hilarious but also a little distracting when you're trying to focus on a skin fade. Has anyone else ever worked in a shop with a really odd mascot or pet?

My old barber in Tampa had a 15-year-old iguana named Frank that just roamed free in the shop. He would climb the shelves and stare at you from above the mirror while you got your hair cut. It was a whole different kind of pressure when your barber's pet reptile is judging your life choices from a perch.

Right, the pressure from above the mirror. I had a barber with a big old parrot that would whistle when he didn't like a fade. I mean, it's brutal getting roasted by a bird.
