Vent: I thought those fancy barber capes with the magnetic snaps were just a gimmick

I saw them online for like $45 each and figured my old velcro ones were fine. Then I got one as a gift from my sister last month. The first time a kid was squirming and I could pop the cape off in half a second without that loud ripping sound, I was sold. It's way faster between clients and doesn't pull on neck hair. I've saved maybe 2 minutes per haircut, which adds up over a day. Anyone else make the switch and notice a real difference in your flow?

Honestly I'm still on team velcro. That loud rip sound is part of the experience for me, lets the client know we're done. I timed it once and the difference was maybe 30 seconds, not enough for me to drop the cash on a whole new set.

Right like that sound is just classic, it's part of the whole vibe. I get the push for speed but some things are just fine the way they are. Spending all that money just to save half a minute feels like solving a problem that wasn't really there.

My old man still uses his 1990s strap gun, swears by that sound.
