Serious question, has anyone else seen this at the new barber supply store in Tacoma?
I stopped by that new spot on 6th Avenue last Friday to check out their shears. I was looking at a pair and noticed the pivot screw was already loose, like it had been used and put back. I checked three other pairs from the same brand on the rack, and two of them had the same wobble. It makes me think they might be putting out floor models as new stock. Has anyone run into something like this there, or know a better local supplier?

My old barber said to always check the pivot screw first.

Wait, did you mention it to the staff?

Sullivan.spencer makes a good point about telling the staff. But what if the staff already knows and their hands are tied by a dumb company policy? I've seen places where the manager wants to fix something, like a broken ice machine or a slow kitchen, but corporate won't approve the budget for repairs. So the front-line workers just have to deal with the complaints. It's a system failure, not a staff one.
