Bought a $22 foil shaver off a whim and it fixed my worst neckline problem
I grabbed a cheap Wahl foil shaver at a Sally Beauty in Fort Worth about 3 months ago because my clippers were leaving little patches on the back of the neck. Turned out it was the best $22 I have spent on a tool in years. I finish every skin fade with it now and my clients keep running their hands back there like they can't believe it's that clean. My problem is the foil head already needs replacing, so I am looking at another $15 for a part that might not exist anymore. Anyone got a foil shaver under $60 that actually holds up past 4 months?
How often are you swapping the foil out on that thing? The cheap ones I have used burn through foil heads way faster if you press hard or go over stubble that is too long. My barber buddy replaces his every 2 months but he does like 40 fades a week. What is your weekly client count and are you cleaning the head out daily or letting the hair build up in there? That buildup alone can kill a foil way before it should go. Just trying to figure out if the foil dying is a you thing or a shaver thing.
