Visited a bakery in Austin that still uses a 1950s Hobart mixer for everything

I was in there last month and the owner said they've had it since the place opened, and it still runs like a dream. It made me think about how much of our gear now is built to be replaced, not repaired. Do you still use any old-school equipment that just won't quit?

My dad still uses the same Craftsman lawnmower from 1988, it's louder than a jet engine but starts on the first pull every time. He just sharpens the blade and changes the oil, never had to take it in for repair. Makes you wonder why they don't build stuff like that anymore, everything feels so cheap now.

My grandma's Sunbeam mixer from the 70s still makes the best cookies every holiday.
