Stuck a note in a customer's bread order and she called me about it

A lady in Akron ordered a sourdough loaf from my home bake setup last month. I threw in a hand written note about how to store it so the crust stays crunchy. She called me two days later to say her kids fought over who got the end slice. Made me realize a little extra effort goes a long way with people. Anybody else do small stuff like that for customers?

Wow, that's a nice story. A buddy of mine runs a little pottery shop and he started wrapping every mug with a handwritten care card about microwaving and hand washing. He says people call him up just to chat about their coffee now, seems like a small thing that really sticks with people.

Yeah, that handwritten touch really makes people feel seen.
