Found a way to keep my sourdough crust crispy for 3 days straight
I was getting frustrated with my sourdough going soft by the next morning. Tried leaving it cut side down on the board, wrapping in a tea towel, nothing worked. Then I started storing it in a brown paper bag with the opening folded over twice, and it stayed crunchy for almost 72 hours. Has anyone else tried this or got a better system for keeping crusty bread fresh longer?

Three days of crispy crust sounds suspicious. That's longer than most marriages in this town last. But I'll give it a shot since my current method of eating the whole loaf in one sitting has some obvious downsides. Might save me from those day three heel slices that could double as roofing material.

Ha! That day three heel is no joke. You can literally break a window with it. But yeah, I feel you on the marriage joke. My bread game was weak too before I changed it up. Give it a shot, worst case you're back to eating the whole loaf in one night.
