Trading my 2am panic journal for a voice note dump on the drive home
Used to sit in the parking lot after my shift and write out every dumb thing a patient's family said, but now I just talk it into my phone on the 15 minute drive and delete it when I get to my apartment. Does anyone else find that saying it out loud makes the rough nights feel less heavy than writing them down?

The "delete it when I get to my apartment" part is key. I do the same thing, except I keep a couple of the worst ones just to remind myself I got through it. Talking it out forces you to get to the point faster than writing does, and your voice doesn't lie about how tired you actually are. Plus, you can't re-read a voice note at 3am and spiral into the details, which is a big win. Just make sure you're actually parked when you record, because crying and driving is not a good mix.
