Hit 500 miles on the PCT section this summer, didnt see that coming
Started the season hoping for maybe 200 miles total, but once I got into the rhythm of the Sierra passes, I just kept pushing. Finished at 512 miles by late August, mostly because I skipped two rest days in Bishop that I'd planned. Has anyone else had a target number get blown away by just staying on trail?
That rhythm thing is real though. Once your body stops arguing with you every morning, the miles just kinda stack up on their own. I bet if you hadnt skipped Bishop you wouldve been looking at 550 and wondering where to stop.
