PSA: I waved at a guy in a Denver parking garage thinking he was my coworker
Two weeks ago I was leaving my office in Denver and saw who I thought was my buddy Dave standing by his truck, so I gave him a big smile and a wave. He just stared at me with this blank face, and that is when I noticed his jacket was all wrong and Dave drives a Civic, not a Tacoma. I mumbled sorry and power walked to my car, then sat there for 5 minutes pretending to check my phone so I would not have to drive past him. My real coworker heard the story at lunch and now waves at me every single morning with the same fake smile. Has anyone else done the stranger wave, and did you ever see that person again?
