My phone died right as I was showing a video to my whole family
We were all at my aunt's house for dinner last week, and I was trying to show them this funny clip from a concert. I hit play, and the screen just went black. The battery was at 1% and it completely shut off. Everyone just stared at me in silence for a solid ten seconds. I had to just put it down and say 'so anyway...' and move on. Has anyone else had tech fail at the worst possible time?

Oh man, that's my signature move. My phone loves to die right when I'm trying to prove a point. It's basically my personal hype man, but in reverse.

Feel you on that. My phone's battery has a sixth sense for drama. It'll be at like 20% for hours, no problem. Then the second I need to pull up a receipt or find an old text, it just gives up. It's a special kind of betrayal. Like my own tech is sabotaging me.

My buddy Kevin was trying to settle a bet about some actor's name last week. His phone showed 15% battery when he picked it up. He got as far as typing "was the guy in..." and the screen just went black. He had to buy the next round of drinks because of it. He said it felt like a planned ambush.
