I picked the wrong line at the DMV on purpose and I stand by it
Everyone says you should always pick the shortest line at the DMV, but last month at the one on Grand Ave in St. Paul I did the opposite. I was renewing my license and there were two lines, one with 4 people and one with 9. I picked the long one because I could see the short line's clerk was typing super slow and kept getting up to talk to someone in the back. My buddy was with me and he picked the short line and gave me a look like I was nuts. I got called up in 25 minutes while he stood there for almost 50. The clerk on my line was this older lady who just banged through each person in about 3 minutes flat. So yeah, I chose the longer wait and won. Has anyone else ever bailed on the shortest line because something about it felt off, or am I the only one who does this?
