An old toll booth guy in Gary asked why I was in such a hurry, and I've been thinking about it for a week
Was coming through the Indiana toll on I-90 last Tuesday around 2am and the guy in the booth looked at my hour log, then just said 'you got somewhere to be this bad?' I laughed it off but he was right, I'd been running myself ragged trying to make a delivery window nobody actually cared about. He told me he worked that booth for 19 years and watched guys burn out every few months trying to shave 20 minutes off a route. Now I'm sitting here wondering if I should actually start building in an extra hour on my runs. Any other drivers here ever get called out by a total stranger and realize they had a point?
