Pro tip: I finally looked up the actual failure rate for those cheap coax connectors

Found a study from an airline maintenance database showing a 12% intermittent fault rate within 500 flight hours on the unbranded ones. Anyone have a go-to brand for RG-400 that holds up better?

Guess I'm the 12% with my home setup, ha!

Wow, 12% is way worse than I thought. I've had good luck with the Amphenol ones from Digi-Key, they seem to last.

My last batch of RG-400 connectors came from Pasternack. They cost a bit more but I haven't had a single one fail in two years of daily use. That airline data just confirms you get what you pay for with this stuff.
