TIL Harbor Freight torque wrenches aren't as bad as I thought

I always avoided the cheap Pittsburgh ones because I figured they'd be way off. Finally tested a 1/2 inch drive I got on sale against my buddy's Snap-on at his shop in Cleveland and it was within 3 ft-lbs at 80 ft-lbs. For the $60 I paid vs $400 I'm not mad at all. Anybody else had good luck with budget tools for stuff that doesn't need NASA precision?

Did you @the_claire test yours more than once to see if it's consistent?

Holy crap, you tested it against a Snap-on and it was only 3 off? That's wild. I always figured Harbor Freight torque wrenches were basically just room temp guesses, not that close. Maybe I need to stop being such a tool snob about some things.

Hell yeah, I've got a few Pittsburgh ones that have held up fine for years now.
