Debated between a cordless impact and air ratchet for my home shop
I work at a Ford dealer in Columbus but my garage at home doesn't have an air compressor. I went back and forth for weeks on getting a Milwaukee cordless impact or setting up a compressor for an air ratchet. Ended up grabbing the cordless impact for $200 and honestly it handles lug nuts and suspension bolts fine. Anyone else skip the air tools for battery stuff at home?

@the_emma nailed it. Once you start using cordless stuff for jobs around the house, you realize how much simpler it makes everything. It's like the whole tool world shifted to battery powered and nobody really misses dragging out air hoses and compressors for basic stuff. The same thing happened with lawn mowers too - everyone used to swear by gas, but now battery mowers are quiet and work fine for a normal yard. Even my buddy who does side work on cars at his house ditched his air setup last year and hasn't looked back. It's just one of those changes where the old way hung around because people were used to it, not because it was actually better for home use.

Dude, same here. I was gonna drop money on a compressor just for the ratchet, but the cordless impact does everything I need at home and more. Totally worth skipping the air setup for battery stuff.
