Vent: Tried using a heat gun on a plastic bumper for a 2017 Civic to soften a dent, and it warped the whole panel.
I learned the hard way that the factory plastic on those bumpers has a much lower heat tolerance than aftermarket stuff, so now I just use a hair dryer for anything under 180 degrees and save the heat gun for metal work.

Sounds like you just held it in one spot too long. Those factory bumpers can take some heat if you keep it moving. A warped panel is a pain but its not the end of the world, you can probably work it back with careful heat and pressure from behind. Next time just use a lower setting and wave the gun around more.
