Shoutout to the old-timer who showed me the soapy water trick for finding pinholes
He sprayed a mix of dish soap and water over a weld seam, and the escaping air from a tiny leak made bubbles instantly. I found three leaks in a quarter panel I thought was sealed tight. What's your go-to method for checking seam integrity?

That soapy water trick is a classic. What kind of pressure are you putting on the panel to make the air escape?

Actually, I don't press on the panel at all. That can mess up the seal. I just spray the soapy mix on the seams. The leak makes its own bubbles with the existing pressure. Works every time.

Yeah, the soapy water thing is a total game changer... I remember one time I was sure I had a gas tank sealed up perfect. Sprayed it down and it looked like a bubble bath from one spot I totally missed. That little trick saved me from a real headache later on.
