The time I parked in a deck in Buckhead and came back to a $75 surprise

Last Saturday I parked in a deck off Peachtree for a lunch meeting, figured $10 max. Came back two hours later and the ticket was $75 because there was some concert at State Farm Arena I didn't know about. The deck had dynamic pricing that jumped like crazy. Learned my lesson to always check event schedules before parking in those lots. Anyone else get hit with surprise parking fees around town?

Oh man that hurts. Ngl I once parked in a lot near Piedmont Park for what I thought was a quiet Saturday and ended up paying $60 because of some random festival I didn't know about. Honestly these lots are ruthless with that surge pricing stuff, they know exactly when to jack it up. I still park in the same deck now but I always check the city events calendar on my phone first. Tbh I've started just taking Marta if there's even a hint of something going on.

Yo how bad does your credit score have to be before you just start treating parking tickets like a souvenir collection instead of paying them? lol. For real though I feel your pain on the Marta move. I had to start doing that after I paid $45 to park for a Braves game that got rained out before the third inning. Now I just throw a couple tall boys in a backpack and ride the train in. Cheaper than the lots and I don't gotta stress about surge pricing or some random 5K making me late.

Yeah my credit score's so low the parking lots probably give me sympathy discounts instead of surge pricing. I swear they got some algorithm that detects when you're already having a bad day and hits you with an extra $15 just for looking stressed. Last time I got stuck in one of those lots near the aquarium they charged me $12 for the privilege of sitting in gridlock for 45 minutes watching some guy in a golf cart laugh at me. Marta's starting to look real good even if it means I gotta sit next to a guy practicing his beatboxing at 7 AM.
