That sign on Dekalb Ave about gentrification got me thinking

I was sitting at the red light on Dekalb near the new apartment complex and saw a faded flyer on a pole that said "Remember when this was a neighborhood?" My grandma lived off Hosea Williams in the 80s and that whole strip used to have a corner store and a barber shop that knew everybody. Now it's all $1200 studios and a coffee shop with $7 lattes. Anyone else feel like the old Atlanta is slipping away faster than we can keep up with?

Yo @stellachen, did you see that old Krystal burger sign on Memorial they finally took down last month? Reminded me how my uncle used to get a sack of them after church back when the neighborhood had more soul than a condemned church choir.

Wait, are you sure it was $1200 studios? I thought the new ones by the Beltline start closer to $1500 now.
