Pro tip: using Waze on 285 south actually saved me 20 minutes during rush hour
I always thought Waze was overhyped and just used Google Maps. But last Tuesday I had to get from Doraville to the airport in 45 minutes flat. My buddy told me to try Waze and take the exit for Langford Parkway instead of staying on 285. It rerouted me through some side streets near Hapeville and I made it with 5 minutes to spare. Anyone else found a route that actually beats the traffic on 285?

Tried it myself after hearing a buddy rave about it. Honestly, once you learn a couple of those side street shortcuts, it feels like you've unlocked a cheat code for Atlanta traffic. It's just a real reminder that those big apps don't always know the local secrets.
