The moon filter I nearly skipped saved my Jupiter shots in Flagstaff
Went up to Lowell's viewing spot last month with my 8 inch dob. Clouds kept rolling through so I almost packed up early. Threw on a cheap 25% moon filter just to cut glare on Jupiter. Turns out it also killed the atmospheric wobble enough to see the bands clearly. Anyone else use a lunar filter on planets or is that just me?
