Pro tip: Dark skies matter more than your camera's price tag
I drove out to the countryside last weekend with just my basic camera. Everyone online says to invest in expensive lenses for nebula shots. But my photo of Andromeda turned out great with a long exposure and no extra gear. Seriously, I think we get caught up in specs and forget the basics.

Seriously, my friend got an amazing Milky Way shot with a used camera and zero fancy gear, just perfect darkness.

I used to assume high-end gear was necessary for clear Milky Way photos. Your friend's success with basic equipment shows how much darkness matters. It changes my view on what really makes a great shot.

Come on, is it really that amazing or did they just get lucky with the conditions? Perfect darkness helps, sure, but a used camera still needs decent specs to pull that off. Calling it "zero fancy gear" feels like a stretch. Sounds more like a right place, right time story than some big photography lesson.
