I just switched my stance on paying for music streaming after seeing one number
I always thought $10 a month for Spotify was a rip off until I read that the average CD in the 90s cost $16.99 for like 12 songs. Now I pay $11 and get every album ever made. Does anyone else have an old habit they stuck with until a random stat changed their view?

...and honestly I had the same breakdown but with buying used CDs at FYE back in the day. I used to be so stubborn about only buying physical albums because I liked having the case and artwork. Then I did the math on how many CDs I actually listened to more than once and it was like 30% of my collection tops. Streaming is basically paying for the convenience of not having a shelf full of duds you'll never touch again. The numbers really put things in perspective when you realize you were basically throwing away money on plastic jewel cases.

Plastic jewel cases" haha thats exactly what we were paying for. At least my CD collection makes a good coaster collection now if I ever need one.
