Can we talk about how a chef's knife is cheaper than a sharpener over 5 years
I was cleaning out a kitchen drawer last month in Boise and found 11 receipts for knife sharpening going back to 2019, each one $9 at the farmers market guy. That is $99 total, and the knife itself cost me $45 back in 2018. A lady at the booth explained that most people sharpening that often just need a $12 pull through and a honing rod. I did the math twice because it seemed wrong. Has anyone else tracked a small kitchen cost like this and found out they were basically paying rent on a tool they already own?
