Shoutout to my old neighbor in Omaha for showing me a better way to seal a driveway

For years I just slapped on that cheap sealant from the hardware store with a push broom. Then Frank from down the street came over with his sprayer rig and a different brand, the kind you have to mix with sand. We did my half and his way side by side. His section looked smoother and didn't crack for three seasons, while mine started peeling after one winter. What's your go-to method for a long-lasting seal?

I mean, is it really that big of a deal? It's just stuff you buy, not a life choice. Maybe it's just me, but I've used cheap versions of things that worked totally fine. People act like it's a huge mistake, but sometimes you just need the thing to work for now. I don't get why it has to be so serious.

Ugh, tell me about it. I bought a cheap blender once that just made sad noises and left chunks. It was like trying to drink a smoothie with bits of gravel in it.
