PSA: I wasted $60 on a meal kit subscription

Signed up for HelloFresh last month cause of a coupon. Got three meals and half the ingredients were wilted and the portions were tiny. Anyone else get burned by those delivery services?

You said "half the ingredients were wilted" and that's the thing nobody talks about - the timing game you gotta play with these services. I tried Blue Apron once and the box sat on my porch for 4 hours while I was at work. By the time I got home the lettuce was basically soup and the chicken was sweating in its package. The whole model depends on you being home the second it arrives and cooking everything that night. If you got a normal 9-5 job and don't meal prep at 10 AM on a Tuesday, you're paying full price for half-rotten food.

Cora, you had a box sit on the porch for 4 hours and are surprised the lettuce was sad? That's more of a "you didn't read the delivery instructions" problem than a meal kit conspiracy.
