My sister swore I'd regret buying that cheap can opener from Dollar Tree
She told me last month that any can opener under $5 is just gonna break after a week. I figured $1.25 was worth the gamble for a backup. Thing has opened 30 cans so far without any issues, still sharp and no wobble. Now I'm wondering if I just got lucky or if she's been buying fancy ones for no reason. Has anyone else had a cheap tool outlast the expensive one?

She said "any can opener under $5 is just gonna break" but honestly I bet the cheap ones work BETTER because they're so simple. Less moving parts to mess up, just a blade and a wheel.

Cheap can openers usually have way more moving parts than the good ones, actually.
