Am I the only one who hit 500 catalogued points this season and felt weird about it?
I started digging at a site outside Tucson back in March and I log everything I pull out of the ground in a little notebook. Last Tuesday I counted up my entries and I was at 504 points, which is way past the 200 I managed all of last season. The weird part is I did not feel proud, I just felt tired, because most of those were flakes and debitage that took forever to bag and label. My field partner said the number only means something if the context is written down right, and honestly he might be on to something. Does anyone else keep a running count like this, or do you just wait for the site report at the end?
