Mocked condenser coil cleaning on fridges for years
I used to think it was a waste of time if the fridge was cooling okay. A unit overheating and tripping the compressor made me see the light. Do you clean coils on every service call or just when there's an issue?

Tbh, is cleaning them on every call actually needed? Most fridges seem to run fine without it.

Seriously? Nobody's mentioned the power bill yet. Gunked-up coils make the fridge work overtime, sucking more juice. My neighbor's energy cost jumped fifteen percent until I cleaned hers. That's real money wasted every month, not just a future breakdown. Skip the coil clean and you're basically tossing cash out with the trash.

How often should you clean the coils? @susan130 is right, I saw my bill drop after I did mine last month.
