Five dryer calls in one Tuesday, all with the same dumb door switch issue
I spent my whole day driving between three towns outside Columbus replacing the same $8 door switch on five different dryers, and the kicker is every single one had the same broken wire clip from a cheap repair kit someone else had installed, so has anyone else seen those knockoff kits cause more repeat failures than they fix?

I saw a thread on ApplianceBlog last month where a guy in Michigan ran into the same thing with those cheap kits off Amazon and eBay. He said the plastic on the clips gets brittle after a few heat cycles, so the wire pops loose and the door switch reads open again. One guy in that thread claimed he had a customer call him back three times in six weeks on the same dryer because of it. OEM clips cost a couple bucks more but they actually hold up, so now I just refuse to reuse the knockoff ones when I find them.
