Sat through a filler arc or skipped to the canon, and I picked wrong
Two weeks ago I was 180 episodes into One Piece and hit a stretch that was all side stories, so I had to pick between pushing through it or jumping straight to the main story. I skipped ahead and now I keep hitting moments where I have no idea who half these characters are or why they matter. My buddy in Portland swears the slow parts are where the crew actually grows on you, and I'm starting to think he's right. Did skipping ever come back to bite anyone else, or did it work out fine for you?
Eh, skipping filler is pretty normal and most people come out fine. One Piece is like 1100 episodes, you really think watching Luffy chase a crab for 20 episodes is gonna make or break your love of the show? The "crew grows on you" thing is way overblown too, you can pick up who Robin or Franky are from like two scenes. Worst case you just wiki a character when you're confused, takes 30 seconds. Sounds less like you picked wrong and more like you're just overthinking a cartoon.
