Rant: picked the sub over the dub for Frieren and now I feel like I missed out

I binged all 28 episodes subbed over two weeks because my buddy at the terminal in Amarillo swore the Japanese voice for Frieren was the only way to watch it. Saw a clip two days ago of the English dub during the Stark fight and honestly it hit just as hard, so now I'm wondering if I made the right call. Anyone else flip flop on this or do you just stick with one and never look back?
