Thought I could swap a brake master cylinder in 2 hours. Took me 7.
On a Cessna 172 I couldn't get the old fittings to break loose without the whole thing spinning. Ended up having to make a custom tool out of an old wrench to hold it still. Anybody else run into that on older planes?

Oh man, that's such a classic example of how things never go as quick as you think they will. I mean, it's funny how you budget for two hours and end up with a whole day project because one stupid fitting just won't budge. It kind of reminds me of how so much in life gets held up by those tiny, annoying details that nobody warns you about. Like, you think you've got it all figured out and then reality throws you a curveball that takes five extra hours to fix. Idk, maybe it's just me but that seems to be the way things always go, especially with older stuff.

Disagree completely @grace_gonzalez46 - planning for two hours usually means you're done in one.
