My lead mechanic swore by WD-40 on avionics, I found out why the hard way
Old Bill at our Orlando shop told me to spray WD-40 on a sticky circuit breaker, and after it shorted out the backup compass and cost us a 3 hour delay, I finally learned he was joking the whole time, has anyone else trusted a senior guy's prank advice on a real job?

Three years later and I still catch myself double-checking that my toolbox is actually locked when Bill's around, guess that's what I get for trusting a guy whose idea of "helpful" is greasing the coffee maker.
