I used to skip the torque check on the second pass, then a 737 wheel came back loose in Tulsa
Three years ago at a shop in Tulsa I watched a guy get walked out for signing off a wheel torque he never checked, and I figured that was his problem, not mine. Last month a 737 came back from a quick turn with a loose main wheel, and the log showed the second torque pass got skipped, same as I used to do on busy nights. I do both passes now, every time, no matter how late it is, because that wheel had 45 psi in it when they rolled it back in. How do you guys handle the second pass when the gate call is already on?
