Warning: I was manually checking every single data entry for my side project for MONTHS.

I was building a small app to track local weather patterns, and I'd spend every Sunday afternoon verifying hundreds of entries by hand. Last week, a friend saw my spreadsheet and just said, 'You know you can train a simple model to flag the outliers, right?' It felt like a slap to the forehead. What's a basic AI tool you wish you'd started using WAY sooner?

Honestly I used to be so against automation for my own stuff. Like I was manually cleaning up customer email lists for my Etsy shop, deleting duplicates one by one. Then I found out about basic dedupe tools that are literally free and built into some email services. Spent probably 40 hours over a year on something a script does in two minutes. Felt like the biggest waste of time once I finally tried it.

Right, like @skylerrobinson said, pride makes us do dumb stuff.

Oh man @karen_roberts4, doesn't that just hit you right in the pride? I had the same stubbornness about scheduling social media posts for my business. I'd set alarms on my phone to post at certain times, even during dinner or a movie. Finally caved and tried a free scheduler last year, and wow, it was like getting hours of my week back. It's crazy what we'll put up with just because "that's how I've always done it.
