TIL those 'influencer gifting' campaigns actually work for B2B

I laughed when my partner suggested sending $200 worth of gear to some HVAC blogger with 5k followers. Figured it was throwing money away. But after 3 months that guy's video review drove 12 qualified leads and one closed at $8k. Now I'm rethinking my whole approach to micro-influencers in trade industries. Anyone else found surprising ROI from smaller accounts?

Wait what. An $8k close from one HVAC blogger with 5k followers? That's nuts. I gotta admit I've been sleeping on micro-influencers too. Been burned by bigger accounts that got tons of views but zero actual sales. This makes me want to dig through some smaller niche channels and actually test it out myself. Guess the old rules about influencer marketing don't always apply in trade industries.

@jade_johnson you're spot on, same thing happened to me with a plumbing parts channel. Those small accounts actually talk to their audience like real people. Larger ones feel too scripted and salesy to me.
