Pro tip: my old Warn 8274 winch pulled me out of a Tennessee mud hole that a new 12k synthetic winch couldn't budge
Back in 2019 I got stuck up near Windrock with a buddy who runs a brand new 12,000 lb winch with synthetic line. We hooked his up first and it just stalled out, drum brake slipping and line stacking on one side. My 1984 Warn 8274 with the old steel cable walked that truck right out like it was nothing, and that thing has been on three rigs since 1990. Anyone else still running an old worm gear winch over the new stuff?
