Hit 200k on my old Tacoma and I actually pulled over to take a picture
My 2003 Tacoma rolled past 200,000 on the highway near Bakersfield last Saturday, and I made my wife pull over at the next exit so I could get a shot of the dash. I got it at 140k back in 2019 from a guy in Modesto who barely drove it, so that's 60k of my own dirt roads, hunting trips, and one very dumb creek crossing. It's not a fancy rig, just a small lift and decent tires, but it has never left me walking. I know 200k is nothing for these trucks and some of you are way past 400k, but for me it felt like a real handshake with the thing. Nobody in my family gets why I care so much about a number on a dashboard. So what's the highest you've put on one vehicle, and did you do anything to mark it or just keep driving?
How did your wife take it, was she cool about pulling over or giving you the look the whole time? Mine would've been rolling her eyes hard. Anyway man, that's a solid milestone and you earned every mile of it, the creek crossing alone sounds like a story. My old F150 hit 250k before I finally let it go and I still kick myself for not getting a pic of the dash when it turned. Those numbers mean something because you know every scratch and every weird noise behind them, and nobody else gets that unless they've put in the miles themselves.
