Just realized my VR neighbor ignores me less than the real one.
Virtual boundaries are clearer than apartment walls.

Read this article about digital loneliness... how people can feel more seen in game lobbies than their own apartment halls. The writer said virtual spaces have opt-in social rules, while real life just forces awkwardness on you all the time. Makes that clear boundary thing pretty logical, if sad.

Honestly just lean into it, right? I found it gets way less painful once you stop trying to hide it.
