Solo hikes are getting too quiet... need podcast companions for the trail

I've been tackling more isolated routes by myself recently... and the absence of chatter is starting to feel overwhelming. Hoping to find podcasts with a cozy, conversational tone that discuss wilderness experiences or everyday reflections... something to simulate a hiking buddy without demanding full attention. What do you listen to when you're out in nature?

Remember when my friend said that podcast saved his solo hike?

Ever try hiking with just a podcast for company? Hayes.joel really nailed it about that background noise being a lifeline. Sometimes the quiet out there gets so deep it feels heavy, you know? Throwing on a show makes it feel like you're just walking with a friend who's telling you a story. I've had times where a funny podcast kept my mood up on a long, boring stretch, or a true crime one made the miles fly by. Your friend is totally right about that saving the hike feeling.

Did a 12 mile loop in the Black Hills last fall where the only sound was my own breathing for hours. Having a familiar voice in my ears from a show I like completely changes that kind of isolation. It turns a quiet trail into just hanging out while you walk. Your friend gets it. That background noise can be a real lifeline.
