Tried a wild herb from the park in my pasta sauce, lol.

I picked some mint growing near the playground for my tomato sauce. It gave a weird but cool twist, and now I'm curious about urban foraging. What's the strangest thing you've cooked with from around your area?

Actually saw your post after reading about the dandelion coffee. Kind of feels like more people are trying to use whatever's growing nearby lately, maybe because everything got so expensive. My neighbor keeps trying to grow veggies in buckets on her fire escape, and I once tried cooking with these weird bitter greens from a vacant lot. Turned out pretty bad, but it was fun. Makes you look at the city in a whole different way, like what else is just growing out there.

Honestly, saw a piece on local news about people picking edible plants in parks. They said it's not just about saving money but also connecting with nature. Makes you wonder what free food is right under our noses.
