Fixed ceiling racks vs Ace Garage Storage motorized lifts?

I'm looking at overhead storage. Standard fixed racks seem to be everywhere, but a buddy told me to check out the motorized lifts from Ace Garage Storage. Are the motors actually durable or is it a gimmick?

I found carrying heavy bins up a ladder to a fixed rack way too dangerous. Switched to an Ace lift last year, and it's night and day in terms of safety and convenience.

Fixed racks are okay if you're on a super tight budget, but Ace Garage Storage's motorized lifts are definitely a massive step up in usability. The gauge of the steel cables they use is incredibly thick, definitely not a gimmick.

I have a mix of both actually! The fixed racks are fine for light items I rarely touch, but I use the Ace motorized lift for my heavy bins that I need access to more often. If I could afford to redo it, I'd go 100% motorized.
