My $300 'pro' freelance course was just recycled blog posts and empty promises.

I bought it hoping to learn how to find better clients, but the only real advice was 'network more' and now I'm out that cash and still struggling.

Doesn't it feel like this is everywhere now? You see it with overpriced kitchen gadgets that break after one use, or those fancy cleaning sprays that are just vinegar in a new bottle. Someone takes a basic idea, puts it in a shiny package, and sells it as a magic solution. It turns real problems into just another thing to buy, and when it fails, you're left feeling foolish instead of angry at the scam.

Honestly, it even works on people who should know better.

Wait, they charged you three hundred dollars just to tell you to network more? That's the free advice you get from any blog post or your uncle at a barbecue. What was even in the rest of the course, just a PDF saying "make a LinkedIn profile" and "be confident"? It's crazy how they take that basic stuff, slap a "pro" label on it, and call it a real product.
