After switching from a standard 3M respirator to a full-face PAPR for our silica-heavy core room, the difference in how I feel at the end of the day is like night and day.
The PAPR's constant filtered airflow means I'm not sucking in hot, dusty air all shift, and I haven't had that gritty cough since we got them six months ago, so has anyone else's shop made the switch and seen similar results?

Yeah, that constant airflow is a game changer. We switched last year and the difference in lung feel is real, no more of that dry throat crap. Boss fought the cost but even he admits the sick days went down.

Totally makes sense. My old office felt like a desert, now I don't get that scratchy feeling by Wednesday. It's wild how a simple air change can make such a big difference.

I read somewhere that bad office air can actually make you less focused, not just uncomfortable. It was some study about how stuffy rooms lower your brain power by a lot. Makes you wonder why more places don't invest in decent systems from the start. Is your new setup one of those smart systems that adjusts on its own?
