Update: I save every little thing from books, even if others call it trash

I see posts where people say to throw out old bookmarks like receipts or lists. I disagree because that just makes more garbage. For example, I found a grocery list from the 80s in a cookbook. I framed it as art instead of binning it. That keeps it out of the dump. Small acts like this help the planet by reducing waste. These scraps show how books were used and loved. So I'll keep saving them, no matter what anyone says.

Love this, found a concert ticket stub in a novel and kept it for the history.

Isn't that just hoarding with extra steps?

Hold on, you framed a grocery list from the 1980s? That is so wild to me because I would have just recycled it without thinking. It never crossed my mind that old scraps could be turned into art. You're right though, it does keep stuff out of the landfill and that matters. Now I'm imagining what was on that list, like old brands or prices. It really is a small record of how someone lived back then. I guess I need to pay more attention to the junk in my own books.
