Pro tip: The best food truck meal I ever had was from a truck everyone else seems to ignore

Three years ago at the summer festival in Springfield, I walked past the long line at the 'famous' taco truck and went to a quiet one called 'Hank's Grill' instead. I got their pulled pork sandwich for $9, and it was so tender and smoky, with this perfect vinegar slaw. I've been back every year since, and I still don't get why the line is always so short. Has anyone else found a hidden gem that gets no love?

Honestly, sometimes a short line just means the food is okay. Not every quiet truck is some secret winner.

My local farmers market has a guy selling lamb gyros for eight bucks. The line is always short because his truck looks a bit beat up. People are missing out on the best food there because they go for the shiny new ones instead.

Oh, I'm supposed to take the bait on "people are missing out" huh? Look, if a truck has a short line at a busy festival, there's usually a reason, and it's rarely that everyone else is wrong. I've tried plenty of those beat-up trucks with no crowd, and they were just okay, not life-changing, so I'd rather trust the herd on this one.
