A client in Denver insisted on a cork underlayment for their new hardwood floors.

I was sure it would be too soft and compress over time, especially under a grand piano. We installed it anyway, and after a year they sent me a photo showing zero indentations. The sound dampening is way better than the standard foam I usually use. Has anyone else tried cork under a heavy point load like that?

Yeah, that "zero indentations" photo must have been a relief. I've had the same worry with heavy furniture on cork. It's good to hear a real world case where it held up perfectly.
