My family argues over changing the old pancake recipe or keeping it original
My grandma's buttermilk pancake recipe has been passed down for ages, and everyone loves it. Some of us think we should try adding blueberries or chocolate chips for fun, but others say that ruins the tradition. I can still picture her flipping them on the griddle every Sunday morning. Where do you stand on tweaking classic family recipes?

Make the original first, then experiment with extras.

Remember trying to paint a wall without primer first, I mean that stuff just peels right off.

Feel your pain on that one. I skipped primer on a bathroom wall and it was peeling within a year. Trust me, that extra coat saves you a bigger job later.
